Hi!
You’re reading this page because you are unhappy with the direction your business is going. Feeling unhappy or frustrated or a bit angry at your business is probably justified if your business is showing symptoms like below.

Instructions: Check off the itmes that you can relate to today or in the last 60 days. It’s essential to be candid – acknowledging the things things that are not working is a required step to addressing and improving them:
Sales are down from projections or same period last year
It’s harder and harder to fill the top of the pipeline
Had to move funds to make the monthly nut, such as payroll
Conversions have decreased
It’s more expensive than ever to acquire customers
We’re picking up new customers but their lifetime value is less than before
Competition is eating our lunch
Customers are so demanding, that it is harder and harder to satisfy them
Staff isn’t rising to new challenges like expected or like they promised
Working harder, yet making less than a year ago
Have had to take on business/commitments that wouldn’t do under better conditions
Feeling more negatively toward my assistant/staff/partner(s) than before.
Feeling more negatively toward my customers/clients than before.
Doubting whether the business will be around in a year or two, never mind 10 years.
Doubting, or a bit surprised, at how you’d respond to the business not being around in a year or 2.

Any of this sound familiar? Been thinking these thoughts with yourself or talking it through with your spouse/SO? Has doing so actually improved things or has it created even more pressure in unexpected ways? We need to cover 3 foundational ideas right away.
First, you’re not alone.
I’ve had hundreds of conversations – deep conversations, not just chitchat – with entrepreneurs/business owners in every stage and circumstance imaginable across more than 36 industries. Every one of the successful ones – those who took responsibility to fix problems and make changes – felt the despair, hopelessness, fear, and anger in one form or another that you are experiencing.
Second, reaching out is critical.
You’ve got to consciously fight the isolation because it never leads to good places at this point in the process. Remember Einstein’s observation that a significant problem can’t be solved at the same level at which it was created? This is one of those situations. I’m glad to be here to help shine a light into the darkness and support you in gaining the clarity, control, and confidence to succeed.
Third, the ultimate solution is unknown right now.
Reread this paragraph and come to terms with the reality that a simple 1-2-3 fix is not around the corner. It also means that the situation will not correct itself without some digging, analyzing, testing, planning, and taking action. Taking informed action will be reassuring because you’ll know how it will bring you closer to the solution. However, don’t make the mistaken assumption that there isn’t hard work and at least a few uncomfortable decisions ahead. If you stick with the process, though, you’ll be glad you did because you’ll be back on the path that leads to greater opportunities to do your best life’s work and all the satisfaction that comes with that set of choices. That is a promise I make.
