Solving Complex Problems Differs from Solutions to Complicated Problems

The terms complex and complicated are not created equal, and the difference is an important distinction when it comes to your business.

On the one hand, complicated issues are those which can be difficult to solve, but can be be ultimately solved by the implementation of rules and standard operating procedures. On the other hand, complex tasks require more advance skill sets, and a greater level of creativity.

A Key Distinction

Clearly defined systems which can help make the situation easier to navigate do not exist, and new outside the box thinking is required to tackle these issues. Therefore, it’s essential that you treat these two kinds of problems differently.
