When it comes to success, it’s common to wish for an easy way out or for things to be simple, but there’s no getting around the fact that success takes work, and that work can be hard. But, in the end, when you take the necessary time to follow the path and do the work, the end result will be worth it.
Jane’s business is off to an excellent start. Her friends and family have gotten the word out, and this has resulted in a very big social media burst. Jane’s excitement is warranted, of course, as this business was a bit of a risk for her, but she’s also afraid that it might stagnate a bit. The rush of all these new followers and supporters is swiftly cut short when she doesn’t notice another major surge within the next few weeks. Jane doesn’t want to believe that these things might take time, and she begins to question her business as a whole.
So, she tries very hard to seek alternate ways to get more followers and potential clients and, after careful searching, found several seemingly good “get rich quick” guides online. They all sound great, and the people presenting them seem super successful themselves! The idea of giving them a bunch of money to assure continued growth and notoriety seems almost too good to be true, and for a brief moment Jane is almost completely sold on it. But, the more she thinks about it, the more of a risk it seems to be.
Jane takes a moment and realizes something that she should have thought about right away: success takes time, and it’s better to build and pay attention to detail as opposed to cobbling something together in a way to quickly succeed and risk stability. Armed with this new knowledge, Jane begins to gain more and more traction and, before she knows it, her business is trending on several social media websites, and the word is getting out. Her patience has paid off.
